Nixon meets Elvis.

Currently at the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace, is a new exhibit the opens today on The King's birthdate. The exhibit celebrates one of the most improbable meetings of 70's cultural icons Richard Nixon and Elvis Presley. They say that politics makes strange bedfellows and this pairing is about as strange as it gets. Did you know that this photo is one of the most requested from the National Archives?
The library owns many books on Elvis Presley and Richard Nixon for your reading enjoyment.
One piece of fiction for your consideration is Elvis and Nixon: a novel by Jonathan Lowry which may prove that while truth is stranger than fiction, it can be used to spin a good story to read!
Below is a link to good internet news article on the meeting.
