Photography Events at the Brand Library

In keeping with this sudden photography theme, our library just received a flyer from our friends at the Brand Library Art Galleries of the Glendale Public Library District. They are having an Artists' Discussion Panel on Saturday, February 3, from 4-5 PM. The program is one of many that coincide with their exhibition Photo-Chimera: Ten California Photographers. If your computer can view pdf files, you can look at the flyer here.

I am especially disappointed that I can't attend their later program Plastic Fantastic! An Introduction to the Holga Camera. This event, also free and open to the public, will be held Saturday, February 17, from 4-5 PM. The Holga camera creates interesting photographs due in part to it's poor construction. If you're interested in the kind of art you can create with unintentional blurring and light leaks, then this program is for you! The results are truly serendipitous!
