How Much WAS That Doggie on the Runway?

All the stars were out Saturday afternoon as the dogs from the Burbank Animal Shelter made their walk down the red carpet at Buena Vista Library. This event was one of the first to celebrate our Burbank Reads book selection, Marley and Me, about a lovable but rambunctious Labrador and the family who loved him. Fortunately our friends from the shelter were considerably more well-behaved. While I'm of the mind to yell "Puppy!" whenever I see a cute canine and lunge in for a hug, I was cautioned against it at the start of the program. All attendees were encouraged to head over to the shelter after the show. I certainly hope these glamorous pups find a good home soon.

Muffin, a German Shepherd Mix, delighted the audience with an encore. Here, she poses in a cute purple outfit. "Hey Muffin! Who are you wearing?"

You missed a good show, but don't fret - there are more opportunities to get involved in the fun!
