What We're Reading - The Venetian Betrayal by Steve Berry.

Back in March, I posted about the first book by Steve Berry, "The Alexandria Link", that I had read. Well, talk about a year end gift, Steve Berry returns with a second adventure yarn for 2007. "The Venetian Betrayal" returns Cotton Malone, Cassiopeia Vitt and others for another quest for a hidden treasure, this time the burial location of Alexander the Great. As always with such tales, we have ancient artifacts, riddles to solve, adventure, worldwide locations, conspiratorial mysterious cabals, twists and turns, a touch of history and of course, bad guys. Well in this case, we have the bad girl to end all bad girls, in Supreme Minister Irina Zovastina who is the ruthless, driven, head of a confederation of former Soviet, Central Asian countries. She is a tough, grand advesary for Cotton and if you are a fan of the "treasure quest" type of adventure fiction, then keep an eye out for "The Venetian Betrayal" and enjoy!

BTW, [by the way], we are putting together a book list of this type of story, so if you have any recommendations, we'd love to hear from you, so leave a comment, don't be shy, besides, I'm always looking out for another great adventure to read.
