Free Events from the Southern California Genealogical Society

It's summer, and genealogy fans know that means that the annual Jamboree is upon us (Website, Jamboree Blog). While this event does include a registration fee, there are some concurrent events for adults and kids that are free, if you're looking for an introduction to genealogy.

Introduction to Genealogy: 9-12 on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel and Convention Center: "Learn how to use family group sheets and pedigree charts, census records, and document your findings." More info.

Kids Free Genealogy Camp: 9-12 on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel and Convention Center: "Help your child learn how to explore the generations of ancestors who have gone before. Kids' Genealogy Camp will provide a fun, hands-on, three hours of exposure to family history research." More info.
