Time for some "Time Capsule" fiction...Scavenger by David Morrell

In an upcoming post, I will mention my first encounter with the author David Morrell which led me to read Scavenger which is a sequel of sorts to his Bram Stoker Award winning thriller, Creepers.

With the recent articles concerning the Magnolia overpass time capsule, trying to locate it, can it be opened and what condition would we find the contents, I felt that Morrell's book deserved a mention of its own as this fast paced thriller is also about time capsules and features a desperate high-tech scavenger hunt for a 100 year old time capsule. A quick, compulsive read and based on the newspaper articles discussing how time capsules and their contents can be forgotten and lost, David Morrell is dead on target in the realities of time capsules.

So if the Burbank time capsule photographs have peaked your interest in the topic, take a chance on reading Scavenger. You won't have to spend too much time with it as you'll be just too busy turning pages to see what happens next!
