Best Books of 2009: The Guinea Pig Diaries

It's that time of year again, and your friendly neighborhood librarians are eager to tell you about the best books of 2009. Here is Triste with a review of her favorite book of the year.

I’d recently read The Know It All, wherein A.J. Jacobs obsessively reads the Encyclopedia Britannica in its entirety, so, indulging my obsessiveness, I read his latest - The Guinea Pig Diaries. In documenting a series of “lifestyle experiments” Jacobs tries this, he tries that, he considers anyone’s goofy suggestions, his children are born, his wife suffers and he wittily writes about it all engagingly.
