Best Books of 2009: Silvertongue

It's that time of year again, and your friendly neighborhood librarians are eager to tell you about the best books of 2009. Here is Cathleen with a review of her favorite book of the year.

Silvertongue by Charlie Fletcher is part 3 of the Stoneheart trilogy. This story is currently in film production and will probably make an exciting movie, especially if battling dragons and flying gargoyles sound fun to you. It’s essentially about a timid boy’s self discovery in the midst of his accidental unleashing of a battle of good vs. evil among the statues in London. There’s a family story and some plot twists but mostly lots of action and fantasy. Recommended especially for middle schoolers.
