Farewell to Erin Pawlus!

Our blog has lost its founder and most consistent "post-er" to the state of Arizona. Reference Librarian Erin Pawlus, who started this library blog back in the summer of 2006, has accepted a position as Librarian/Reader Advisor for the Braille and Talking Book Library Division at Arizona State Library in Phoenix.

Erin was at Burbank Public Library just short of five years. In addition to founding and maintaining the blog, Erin worked with the library's adult volunteers and ran the Home Borrowers program, as well as answering reference and readers' advisory questions competently and cheerfully at the Central Library's reference desk and doing some cataloging for Technical Services on the side.

We will miss her posts, as well as her smiling face, but are pleased for her and her husband that they can return to an area where they have family and many friends. We're hoping Erin will still be a guest blogger for Burbank every once in awhile!

Erin, I am sure all of those that you helped through the Home Borrowers program will also miss you. Hope that you find plenty of Apple Fritters in Arizona!
