TEEN SUMMER READING sign-ups start NEXT TUESDAY JUNE 1. We have a LOT of great stuff planned for teens this summer, including:

PROGRAMS: Teen Coffeehouse and Open Mic Night, a Song-Writing Workshop, three Friday Afternoon Movies (Return to the ‘80s), a Writing Workshop, and a 1960s retro surf music band (the SoundWaves); and at each program we have a DRAWING for prizes like Magic Mountain tickets, gift certificates to the mall, and MORE;

CONTEST: The “Make Waves” Ocean Trivia Contest, for which you can win valuable PRIZES;

And of course, READING and WRITING to WIN! Keep a reading log of all the books you read this summer; bring it to the reference desk at any of the three Burbank public libraries; and for each book (or manga or magazine) you record (limit 3 per day), you get a TICKET for a weekly drawing. Six drawings (one each week) give you six chances to win stuff like Jamba Juice, Wahoo’s Tacos and Sees Candy gift cards, AMC movie tickets and MORE! Write book reviews of those books and you can get additional tickets to give you even more chances to win. Excellent!

So if you are a teenager (6th through 12th grades), go to any Burbank Public Library reference desk to sign up, and come spend your summer with us! (We have air conditioning…)

Thank You! Too bad about the dorm regulations, you’ll just have to keep it in mind for after you graduate and get your own place!!
