What We're Reading - The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

I don't know how you spent your three-day weekend but I spent my weekend thoroughly enjoying The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson. If you have enjoyed the first two books in Larsson's "Millennium Trilogy" then I predict that you will race your way through this, the concluding book. I won't give away any details, but his overarching storyline does come to a most satisfying conclusion. Knowing the back story of how author Larsson submitted the three books to his publisher and died shortly afterward, one worried as to how his trilogy would wrap up. Nothing to worry about--sit back, relax and enjoy, as once again journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the remarkable Lisbeth Salander lead you on a third and final journey. Larsson will truly be missed and I do hope the rumors of a left-behind fourth manuscript are true!

For those who have yet to read Stieg Larsson, you do need to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl who Played with Fire first. Both of these are also available in Large Print and on audio CD, and the Library will soon have Hornet's Nest available in these two formats as well.
