Tina's Timeless Temptations - Vertical Run by Joseph R. Garber

I keep thinking about several books that I read years ago, so I finally decided to give one another read and I was not disappointed. VERTICAL RUN , by Joseph R. Garber, was just as enjoyable 15 years later as it was the first go-round. What would you do if your boss of many years showed up one morning and tried to shoot you? Dave Elliot is faced with that scenario and he reacts quickly and instinctively: He knocks out his boss! Dave is 47, physically fit and a New York executive. He also happens to be a veteran of Vietnam, a vet with special training--the kind you don’t talk about. Is the threat to Dave from his past, or his present? Who knew office work would cause you to run for your life?

Thank you to Tina L. for the review. [This blog editor also fondly remembers Vertical Run as a terrific thriller--why it was never made into a movie is beyond me!]

I came across your site while searching for info about Vertical Run being made into a movie. It's shame it hasn't. If anyone in Hollywood is listening, this should be Liam Neeson's next action project. He would be great.

There are many at the Burbank Library who also wonder what happened to a film version of Vertical Run. C'mon Hollywood get it made!
