On SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, Burbank Public Library is celebrating its 100 years of service to the community by hosting a “How-To” Festival at the Central Library! Things you need to know about this special day:
  • The Central Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Computers and reference will not be available that day at Central.
  • Buena Vista Branch will be open regular hours with Internet access and Reference staff available.
All over the Central Library (on the tables, in the stacks, in the halls, on the computers) we will have “how-to” stations, where you can learn a little about a lot! There will be stations where you can learn to braid hair…start a band…download an e-book…find your credit score…do calligraphy…pick an inexpensive wine...and about 50 more!

You can learn a little photography, see a yoga demonstration, get some bike repair tips...there will be presentations going on all day, throughout the library, at staggered intervals so you can plan your day!

We hope you will save the date, and Celebrate the Century with us on Saturday, October 5!
