Best of 2013: TV series

One of the many items enjoyed by Burbank Public Library staff during 2013, recommended for your consideration:

Sixty-two episodes at 48 minutes or longer is a big commitment of time, but if you watch the first episode and like it, the rest will not let you down, straight to the end. The story of Walter White, cancer-stricken suburban high school chemistry teacher turned meth cook, starts out as a black comedy, but ends up just dark. All crimes must be paid for, sooner or later, in a way that is not that different from Dostoevsky’s novels (many of which were also originally written for serial publication in magazines).
