The Scene of the Crime Book Club is reading...

For its June meeting, the Scene of the Crime Book Club will discuss Murder in the White House, by Margaret Truman. The SOTC book club will meet June 16th (the 3rd Tuesday of the month) at 7:00 p.m. at the Buena Vista Branch, in the story time room.

The murder--in the executive mansion--of the Secretary of State prompts an immediate and sweeping investigation of all suspects, including the President and his family, an investigation that leads to a second astonishing murder.
The SOTC book club has decided to visit the first Margaret Truman mystery, the one that had me hooked on her books for years to come.  I would read them just as soon as she wrote them; and I can't give a better recommendation to readers than that. Solid mystery stories that are enhanced by her insider's knowledge of Washington, D.C. and its politics. If you have never read one of the Capital Crimes novels, here is your opportunity!
