What we're listening to: Liane Moriarty

Catherine W. from the Circulation department at the Central Library listened to two books on audio by Liane Moriarty. Here's what she had to say...

Big Little Lies, by Liane Moriarty

I loved this book--it's funny and keeps you guessing the whole time. Big Little Lies takes place in Australia. It centers around a group of women and their kindergarten-age kids. Something happens at a charity event for the school, but what and to whom? Interspersed among the meeting of all of the characters are snippets of clues from witnesses to the event and those who just want to put in their two cents.

The reader for the audio book version, Caroline Lee, was great. 5 stars from me!

The Husband’s Secret, by Liane Moriarty

I loved Liane’s newest book so much that I then listened to one of her older books. The Husband’s Secret was great. Thankfully, it was read by the same reader. I enjoyed the characters and finding out their story. Imagine your husband wrote you a letter containing his deepest, darkest secret, that you were supposed to read after his death? This book is about what happens when Cecilia reads the letter while her husband is still very much alive!

Editor's note: For those of you who would prefer to read rather than listen, the library has both of these as books, too!
