This week at the library...

MONDAY

OPERA TALK: LAUGH, CLOWN, LAUGH
Opera Talk will feature a double bill of two popular one-act operas. The first is Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, a comedy guaranteed to light up audiences with smiles and laughter. Second is Pagliacci, Leoncavallo's dramatic tale of love, betrayal and murder. In both, clowns blend with macabre humor and tragedy to provide an exciting evening of theatrical legerdemain

Guest speaker Larry Verdugo will provide film excerpts, colorful slides, and associated information that will illuminate these two operas.
