This week at the library...

MONDAY
Buena Vista Branch, 6:30 p.m.

AUTHOR EVENT
Dr. Dana Walrath, author of the novel Like Water on Stone, which blends Armenian history with magical realism and free verse, will discuss her experiences in Armenia as a Fulbright Scholar, and how her journeys there influenced both her novel and her life. Books will be available for purchase, and the author will sign.

Teens whose teachers have offered extra credit will receive a proof of attendance slip at the end of the program.

The mission of the Burbank Sister City Committee is to promote communication, goodwill, and cultural awareness between the City of Burbank and its designated Sister Cities. Tickets are available at the Central Library for $25, or $30 at the door. Admission includes no-host bar, buffet dinner, and opportunity drawings. Proceeds support the Literacy Program of the Burbank Public Library, teaching adults to read since 1992. Call 818 238-5577 for more information.
