Author Nathalia Holt will talk about the women who broke the boundaries of both gender and science as members of Caltech’s newly formed Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL, which later became part of NASA) beginning in the 1940s. Sylvia Miller, a Rocket Girl hired by JPL in 1968, will be a special guest.
