To Bead or Not to Bead?

That’s a silly question!

Come have fun with us as we host the next in a series of do-it-yourself events at the Burbank Public Library: DIY Beading Bonanza! Our resident jewelry-making enthusiasts will give you a brief history of beads and instruct you on the basics of beading. Everyone will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of beads to make some "wrist candy!"  All other necessary materials will also be provided.

In addition to making a basic stretch bead bracelet (or two), we’ll show you some of the other tools and processes used to make bracelets with wire. Handouts listing our collection of jewelry-making books and a list of resources for beading/jewelry-making supplies will be available. Hand crafting jewelry can be done for fun or profit, so join us and learn how to do-it-yourself!

This workshop is on Wednesday, April 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Buena Vista Branch Library. Space is limited, so call 818-238-5580 to reserve a spot.
