A Writing Contest for Teen Read Month

Teen Read Month presents...
WRITING CONTEST

Every year, the Teen Services department of Burbank Public Library challenges teens in grades 6-12 to write and submit a short story on a particular topic or in a particular genre, or with a specific theme. This year's contest runs from October 2-30.

Teens may write a short story of 750 words, or a longer story up to 3,000 words. All the details of this year's theme and contest rules may be found on our teen blog, YAThink!, on a special page about the contest. Please encourage your teens to tap into their creative side and start writing!

Prizes will be given to the contest's top writers on Thursday night, November 9, at Book Café. This program is also for teens in grades 6-12 only.
